The goal for today was to explore pools, food, and enjoy many adult beverages. In the last year, I have discovered that I love to have a day of relaxation swimming at resort pools. I used to be rather self-conscious about the experience, but as I near middle age…I….Just…Don’t…Care : )
The many pools at our resort featured fantastic views, infinity ledges, and typically some sort of bar. Ironically enough, the beach was not safe for swimming as it featured violent rip tides and unpredictable waves. The first one we visited was the roof-top pool near the main lobby. This one had the best views.
Next, we went to the private pool attached to our vacation property. We would actually utilize this pool the most because of the close proximity and limited guest access.
We ended our tour of pools by visiting the Pagoda bar pool, nestled between the hotel buildings, closer to the ocean. This one had a really great swim-up bar. I sadly did not get any photos of this one, but I did learn how to do an official tequila toast!
- Arriba (glasses up)
- Abajo (glasses down)
- Al Centro (glasses in front – good health to everyone)
- Y Pa Dentro (drink!)
We ended the day with another Mexican-style buffet featuring build-your-own fajitas and frozen margaritas!
