San Antonio

San Antonio is a major city in south-central Texas with a rich colonial heritage. The Alamo, an 18th-century Spanish mission preserved as a museum, marks an infamous 1836 battle for Texan independence from Mexico. Following the San Antonio River, the miles-long River Walk is a landmark pedestrian promenade lined with cafes and shops. HemisFair Park’s 750-ft. Tower of the Americas overlooks the city.

2022 December 4 – San Antonio, TX, USA – Rock and Roll Half Marathon

I was going to run the Clearwater, FL race in October, but it got cancelled due to weather. Rock and Roll racing offered San Antonio as a free exchange so I took it, hoping to finish my 10-race Heavy Medal goal. For the most part the weather was cloudly, slightly rainy, and cool. 2021 December 5 – San Antonio, Texas, USA – Rock’n’Roll Half Marathon

It was the last opportunity I had this year to run a Half Marathon. The weather was cloudy but the temperatures were perfect. I felt really good today and approached the race with a positive attitude. Maybe I was also trying to redeem myself from my failure in Georgia a month ago.
