I was going to run the Clearwater, FL race in October, but it got cancelled due to weather. Rock and Roll racing offered San Antonio as a free exchange so I took it, hoping to finish my 10-race Heavy Medal goal. For the most part the weather was cloudly, slightly rainy, and cool. But, I was determined. We enjoyed the race expo and had a small tour of the city, including the Alamo.
Race day was a challenge. Coming off of an injury, I really had to slow it down and take it easy. I ran and walked 1 mile at a time. The course went through downtown, Olmos Park, Fort Sam Houston Military Base, then back to town.
I am happy to report I finished and completed my goal!
