I have not been to Mexico since 2015 when I took a business trip to Mexico City. This summer, my family invited me to join them and some friends on a trip to Cabo. Initially, my first thought was party town and spring breakers, but traveling in August is considered the off-season due to the heat. As the vacation week approached I found myself excited to visit Mexico, practice my Spanish, and explore a different perspective from Mexico City life. I do admit, being a resort town, it is one of the safest areas in Mexico as well as a bit of a tourist trap.
We took an early morning flight from LAX and arrived mid-day. I started my trip off the right way with a cervesa!
Our week would be spent at the Hacienda Encantada Resort and Residences. One of our family friends did some magic with his timeshare and got us a few private villas for the week. We planned many days relaxing at the many pools on property, eco events such as four-wheeling, shopping in downtown Cabo, and plenty of sampling of food and tequila. For today, we just explored the resort and enjoyed the views.
