Time for the annual food and wine festival combined with a day at Disneyland – California Adventure.
This event is one that is very special to my partner as she gave more than 10 years of her life to working for Disney. We also have many friends that still work at both Anaheim parks.
How does it work? You purchase a standard ticket to California Adventure [or get signed in by one of your friends ; ) ] then you purchase tasting tickets. We recommend getting the multi-taste pass (~60$ each) for the best value. Since we were with our friends who are employees we had them buy the passes for an additional discount. All-in-all we spent $100 on food with the passes. Without the passes it would have cost about $200.
Then, we worked as a team getting different samples at each booth and sharing. Finally, with our 2-3 remaining tastings, we returned to some of our favorites later in the day. Careful, however, as we found around 4pm that many stands were sold out.
Don’t forget we were also at Disneyland and California Adventure. So we spent some time enjoying our favorite rides and locations. I finally got to visit the new Star Wars attractions. Pirates of the Caribbean is still my favorite place.
What a great way to spend a day off work!
